Community Unites in Protest Against Rising Accidents on Katraj Kondhwa road, Pays Tribute to Deceased

The distressing series of accidents continues on the Katraj-Kondhwa road, with the deteriorating road conditions and stagnant widening efforts resulting in numerous fatalities. Over the past week, two separate accidents have claimed the lives of two individuals, leaving five others with severe injuries.

In a touching tribute to the lives lost, the local community united to light candles and offer flowers near Gokulnagar Chowk, a somber event that aimed to pay homage to the victims. This moving tribute was meticulously organized by several social organizations in the area, including the Shiv Shambhu Foundation and the Dakshin Pune Journalists association.

During this solemn gathering, members from neighboring residential societies such as Rajas Society, Silver Oak, Srinivas Sankul, Hammy Park, Sukhada Varada Sankul, Ganga Ocean, Eros International, Utkarsh Society, and Yashshree Society, among others, came together to remember the departed.

The event drew a significant turnout, with representatives from various society leaderships, as well as individuals associated with diverse political and social organizations within the vicinity. Also present were employees from the Bharti Vidyapeeth Police Station, demonstrating the widespread concern and unity surrounding the urgent need for improved road safety measures.

As the community pays their respects and raises their voices against the prevailing hazardous conditions, the call for prompt action to address the road’s issues grows stronger. The heartfelt tribute serves as a poignant reminder of the lives lost and the collective determination to prevent further tragedies on the Katraj-Kondhwa road.
