Pune Metro Extends Service Hours for Passenger Convenience

Pune: Responding to the preferences and needs of its passengers, the Pune Metro has announced a notable shift in its operational schedule along the Vanaz station to Ruby Hall Clinic station route. Commencing from August 17, the Pune Metro’s passenger services will commence an hour earlier at 6 am, marking a significant alteration that is poised to enhance commuter convenience and accessibility. It’s worth noting that no modifications have been introduced in the schedule for the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Station to Civil Court Station route, which will continue to operate from 7 am to 10 pm.

Hemant Sonawane, the Public Relations Officer of Pune Metro, elaborated on the motivation behind this strategic shift, stating, “In response to public demand, we have advanced the metro service by an hour. This adjustment will facilitate seamless travel for school and college students.”

The new operational timings for the Pune Metro, aligned with the Vanaz station to Ruby Hall Clinic station route, are outlined as follows:

Vanaz Station to Ruby Hall Clinic Route:

  • 6 am to 8 am: Service every 15 minutes
  • 8 am to 11 am: Service every 10 minutes
  • 11 am to 4 pm: Service every 15 minutes
  • 4 pm to 8 pm: Service every 10 minutes
  • 8 pm to 10 pm: Service every 15 minutes

Meanwhile, the schedule for the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Station to Civil Court Station route will remain unchanged, operating with the following frequency:

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Station to Civil Court Station Route:

  • 7 am to 8 am: Service every 15 minutes
  • 8 am to 11 am: Service every 10 minutes
  • 11 am to 4 pm: Service every 15 minutes
  • 4 pm to 8 pm: Service every 10 minutes
  • 8 pm to 10 pm: Service every 15 minutes

This strategic adjustment in Pune Metro’s operational hours underscores its commitment to enhancing the commuting experience for residents and students alike, further solidifying its role as a vital component of Pune’s urban transportation network.
