Conduct fire audit of Covid hospitals ; demand NCP members from Pimpri Chinchwad

Two heartbreaking incidents that shook Maharashtra have prompted to check whether the medical facilities in the city are ready to tackle such untoward incidents.  Both the incidents, fire in Virar based hospital and oxygen leakage in Nashik based hospital took lives of innocent people. 

Sanjog Waghere Patil, city chief of Nationalist Congress Party Pimpri Chinchwad has written a letter to Rajesh Patil, Commissioner, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation asking him to conduct a fire audit of the Covid hospitals in PCMC. 

Corporator of Pimple Saudagar and Former leader of opposition, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation Vitthal Nana Kate has written too to the commissioner. He said, “In the past two months several incidents have shaken up the preparedness of the hospitals towards safety of the patients. The two recent incidents have taken many innocent lives. I request PCMC Commissioner Rajesh Patil to undertake a fire audit of all the covid hospitals in the city so that timely action can be taken.” Kate said, “There are air conditioning equipments, other equipment which run on electricity and since all these are running 24*7 there are high chances of disruption in it. It is needed that these equipment and fire safety audits are conducted for safety.
