Curbs in PCMC to continue, no relaxations in restrictions yet
With the Pune district guardian minister Ajit Pawar announcing relaxations on restrictions, citizens in Pimpri Chinchwad were also hoping that the similar restrictions would be lifted in the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation limits. But since the positivity rate is still above 5 percent the curbs shall remain in force till further notice.
“PMC has 5% positivity for last one week whereas PCMC has 5.2%, so it was decided in the meeting chaired by Hon’ble DCM that PMC will ease out some restrictions. Same will not be applied to PCMC and Pune Rural areas. PCMC will have same restrictions in the coming week as they are in this week,” said Rajesh Patil, Commissioner, Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation.
The decision was taken in weekly review meeting held on June 11, 2021 in Pune by Ajit Pawar, Pune district guardian minister and deputy Chief Minister of Maharashtra and several other PMC and district administration officials.
