Dawood-Linked Drug Parties Under Probe; Bollywood Names Rapper Loka, Actress Shraddha Kapoor, Socialite Orry, Nora Fatehi Surface during Investigation
Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell uncovers a high-level mephedrone network with links to celebrities and underworld operatives.
Mumbai Police’s Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANC) has unearthed a major mephedrone (M-Cat) syndicate allegedly connected to underworld operative Dawood Ibrahim through his associate Salim Dola. As investigators widen their probe, the names of several Bollywood and entertainment industry figures have surfaced in statements recorded by accused traffickers.
According to interrogation details, the syndicate was being operated from Dubai by Salim Dola, who allegedly supplied mephedrone across multiple Indian states and even overseas. The breakthrough reportedly came after the extradition of his son, Taher Dola, from the UAE in August. Taher is said to have provided extensive information about the parties, supply chains and attendees.

In his remand statement, Taher reportedly claimed that Bollywood actors, models, rappers, filmmakers and even individuals linked to the underworld participated in drug-fuelled parties organised by him in India and abroad. Media reports quoting the remand documents list names such as rapper Loka, actress Shraddha Kapoor, her brother Siddharth Kapoor, socialite Orry (Orhan Awatramani), the director duo Abbas–Mustan and Zeeshan Siddiqui — son of the late politician Baba Siddiqui, who was shot dead in 2024. Nora Fatehi and Alisha (Alishah) Parkar, daughter of Haseena Parkar, have also been mentioned.
Investigators say Taher not only organised these gatherings but supplied the narcotics used at the events. Another accused, Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh — known as “Lavish” for his extravagant lifestyle — also told police that he organised drug parties for film celebrities, fashion industry names and gangsters in India and abroad. Shaikh was deported from Dubai in October in connection with a ₹252-crore mephedrone seizure in Sangli district in 2024 and is currently in ANC custody.

The viral interest in the case intensified after reports noted that search trends for “Dawood Ibrahim” spiked on Google India between November 12 and 13. With high-profile names appearing in the probe, officials have not ruled out questioning celebrities whose names are mentioned in the statements.
The ANC is now verifying attendance at these parties, cross-checking details with digital evidence and examining whether other traffickers organised similar events for entertainment industry figures. The investigation remains ongoing, and police say the network appears far larger and more organised than initially believed.
