On Wednesday (January 31), after IndiGo cancelled a flight 6E 2198 from Delhi to Deoghar in Jharkhand, passengers protested, causing chaos to break out at the airport in Delhi. The infuriated passengers questioned the airline’s abrupt decision.

As per further information from the X handle of a user called Prashant Kumar “For the second day in a row, IndiGo’s flight to Deoghar is cancelled, message comes post the scheduled departure. Utter chaos at the gate. Critically ill patients, and many others had to fly. Shameless Indigo has NO convincing answers.”

Netizens have actively responded to this.

An X user says, “This is an everyday Tamasha in India nowadays and nobody wants to do anything about it.”

Another X user says, “The state of airlines in Amrit Kaal. Passengers are treated like garbage.”

Another X user tweeted, “They unilaterally cancel flight all the time. Time the ministry takes them to task.”

To this, IndiGo has responded, “Sir, thank you for speaking with us. We understand the disappointment caused by the cancellation of flight 6E 2198 from Delhi to Deogarh on Jan 30 and Jan 31, 2024, due to unforeseen weather conditions.”

IndiGo further responded “Our team has served refreshments and assisting customers, including a full refund, alternate sectors, or convenient rescheduling. We regret the inconvenience caused due to factors beyond the airline’s control.”
