Digital Ticket Payments Now Accepted for MSRTC Passengers

Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) passengers can now enjoy the ease of paying for their bus tickets digitally.

Recently, the management announced the launch of a new UPI payment system for fare transactions. This development allows passengers to directly pay their journey ticket fare to the conductor through their mobile phones, with the funds being transferred directly to the MSRTC bank account.

The state bus corporation has further streamlined this process by entering into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Airtel payment banks to facilitate UPI payments.

To facilitate this digital transition, conductors are now equipped with Android electronic ticket issuing devices that generate a QR code. Passengers can scan this QR code using their UPI app, enabling them to make seamless digital payments while on board.

In addition to this, MSRTC has established a dedicated helpline for passengers. If individuals encounter any payment errors or face deductions without ticket generation, they can report such issues by calling 8800688006 from their mobile phones. This helpline is operational 24×7, ensuring assistance for passengers around the clock.

Currently overseeing a fleet of over 14,000 buses and ferries, MSRTC plays a pivotal role in meeting the transportation needs of more than 55 lakh daily commuters across the state.

The implementation of digital payment options reflects the corporation’s commitment to enhancing passenger convenience and embracing modern technology for a more seamless travel experience.
