Mangi-Tungi Fort is a notable hill fort situated at an elevation of  4366 Feet. It connects Mangi and Tungi through a wall that comprises 4,500 steps, making it an impressive site for both trekkers and history enthusiasts. For those planning to visit, Bhilwadi village offers a rest house that can accommodate 10 to 15 people. Meals are available in the village, but it is essential to bring your own water, as there is no water source on the fort itself. The trek from the base to the fort takes approximately three hours.

Mangi-Tungi is part of the Selbari mountain range, which includes several other forts such as Ghanyagad, Tamboliya, Nhavigad, Dhamanya-Waghai, Gavlan, Nandya, Jibhya, Shendod  Hanuman, and the Gad-Durga mountain range, which ends directly in the mountain range of the Purna Sanctuary in the state of Gujarat, showcasing the natural beauty and biodiversity of the area.

Mangi-Tungi is considered a pilgrimage site for the Jain community, featuring the world’s tallest 108-foot monolithic Jain statue made of stone, which adds to its significance and allure.

To reach Mangi-Tungi, you can travel from Nashik using the Satana route to Taharabad. If you’re coming from Gujarat, you can get to Taharabad via Ahua from the Neel Mora railway station. From Taharabad, State Transport (ST) buses are available to take you to Bhilwadi. Overall, Mangi-Tungi Fort is not only a destination for trekking and adventure but also a site rich in cultural and spiritual heritage, making it a must-visit location for those exploring the region.
