In a shocking event near Bhumkar Chowk on Wakad side, the accused tempo driver Digambar Gaikwad attacked his employer (victim & complainant) Shivappa Adagle with a sharp object on 25th December (Monday).

As per further information from the FIR accessed by Pune Pulse, Shivappa and Digambar got into a physical altercation near Bhumkar Chowk on Monday night (December 25) after a heated argument. It is said that both people were under the influence of alcohol during the incident. Digambar, who worked for Shivappa as a driver, thought that Shivappa was going to fire him. Digambar retaliated by refusing to give up the tempo and its key, which sparked furious argument between the two.

In the midst of the growing argument, Gaikwad attacked Shivappa with a sharp object, leaving him wounded and heavily bleeding. Although bystanders made an effort to step in and diffuse the situation, the violent incident left people shocked and terrified.

Due to the attack, Adagle needed medical attention right away, so he was rushed to Golden Care Hospital at Bhumkar Chowk immediately.

A case has been registered against Digambar Gaikwad under Sections 307, 504 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Further investigation is going on.
