Raipur: A Russian woman, allegedly intoxicated, caused a commotion on VIP Road late Thursday night after hitting a scooter carrying three young men. The victims—Neelkamal Sahu, Lalit Chandel, and Arun Vishwakarma—suffered serious injuries and were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

According to reports, the woman was driving the car while sitting on a man’s lap. Eyewitnesses stopped the vehicle, and the police arrived shortly after. The car in question had “Government of India” written on it, raising further concerns.

Involvement of a Government Lawyer

The Telibandha police investigation revealed that the car belonged to Bhavesh Acharya, a Public Prosecutor for the Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI). However, at the time of the accident, it was being driven by his friend Nodira, a resident of Tashkent, Uzbekistan.

Both Nodira and Acharya were reportedly heavily intoxicated. They had left a pub and were on their way to buy cigarettes when the incident occurred around 12:30 a.m.

Dramatic Scene at the Accident Spot

After the crash, the foreign woman created a high-voltage drama at the scene. Witnesses claim she misplaced her phone and started accusing bystanders of stealing it. Despite police requests to accompany them to the station, she continued her disruptive behavior.

The Telibandha police sent both the accused for medical examination to determine their level of intoxication.

Legal Action and Investigation

Telibandha Station In-charge Narendra Mishra stated that a case has been registered against the accused for reckless and high-speed driving. Additional charges related to drunk driving will be added based on the medical report. The car has been seized, and further investigations are underway.

Meanwhile, the injured victims, who work in video shooting, are receiving treatment at the hospital.
