Pune: Quick commerce startup Dunzo has moved all employee accounts from Google Suite to Zoho Workplace in yet another attempt to cut expenses. This is anticipated to reduce expenses for the struggling company by a minimum of thirty per cent.

As per further information, for Dunzo, which has been having cash flow problems and has been fighting to survive since July, cutting expenses is an essential first step. Since then, in addition to taking other steps to stabilize operations, the startup has had to postpone paying salaries, fire over 500 employees, and give up its Bengaluru office space.

For employees, Google Workspace—which includes Gmail, Meet, Suites, Calendar, AppSheet and many other applications—is essential because it synchronizes schedules and builds a database with all company-related data.

This migration is merely an ordinary business choice. For the first few days, there were some teething problems, but they have all since been resolved.

Everybody at Dunzo now has an email address with a.com extension instead of a.in extension as a result of the switch to Zoho.

Zoho charges just Rs 489 for the same arrangement, while Google—one of Dunzo’s biggest investors—charges at least Rs 1,600 per user per month for its suite of offerings (Workspace) under the enterprise plan.
