Pune: Elon Musk has implemented a number of significant modifications subsequent to his acquisition of the social media platform Twitter, including its renaming as ‘X’.

According to a report by CNBC, it has been announced that monthly fees will be imposed on all Twitter service users. During a discussion with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on December 18, Musk disclosed that X (formerly known as Twitter) boasts 550 million monthly users, with 100 to 200 million posts being uploaded daily.

As per the information received, Musk also stated that X’s platform is opposed to any form of group attack. In recent times, Musk has faced criticism from civil rights organizations for his alleged disregard of hate speech allegations on X, as well as from a Jewish organization.

The rationale behind the imposition of fees for Twitter service usage remains unclear. Since acquiring Twitter, Musk has implemented several changes to the company’s strategy, including the reinstatement of previously banned accounts such as that of former President Donald Trump. He has also eliminated the “Blue Tick” verification system that identified the accounts of prominent individuals. The renaming of Twitter as X is another notable change.

During his conversation with Netanyahu, Musk hinted at the imminent introduction of monthly fees for X users, which are believed to be aimed at addressing the issue of fake accounts. However, the monthly charges for users and the benefits that will accrue to them after payment remain undisclosed.
