IRCTC to serve ‘Modaks’ to passengers of Vande Bharat Express during Ganeshotsav

Pune: The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is planning to include Modak in the menu for Vande Bharat Express passengers in Maharashtra.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Pinakin Morawala, PRO, IRCTC, has confirmed that IRCTC is looking to include an all-time favorite Ganeshotsav delicacy ‘Modak’ in the food menu for Vande Bharat Express passengers.

As per further information, IRCTC has given orders of more than 4000 Modaks to the contractors for the Vande Bharat Express passengers. Along with Vande Bharat Express, IRCTC is also planning to provide modak in food in some trains running on Konkan route. It is being planned to give Modak Prasad to the passengers of Vande Bharat Express. Modak will be given to passengers on September 19 and 20.

There is also a speculation that IRCTC is planning to give Modak in some trains running on the Konkan route during Ganeshotsav. However, there is no confirmation of this. Therefore, at present, only the passengers traveling by Vande Bharat Express will be given Modak on the occasion of Ganeshotsav.
