Pune to experience heavy rainfall from September 22 onwards

Pune: Despite the cloudy conditions that persisted on Monday, only few areas experienced precipitation. The meteorological department has forecasted light to moderate rainfall in Pune and its surroundings.

As per the information provided, the Ganesh Chaturthi day is expected to proceed smoothly as the likelihood of heavy rainfall is minimal.

Anupam Kashyapi, Weather Forecasting Division, Head, added, ‘A low pressure has formed over Bay of Bengal, which is likely to move to the West. So, monsoon will be partially active in Maharashtra from evening of September 21 onward. Rainfall will increase in Pune from September 22 onward with a chance of isolated thunder and heavy rain.
