The Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court has allowed the Chairman and CEO to follow a strict policy regarding ‘Darshan Pass’ to the Saibaba Temple in Shirdi. Entry to the temple should be done only after securing the pass.

The order said that care should be taken to ensure that the darshan pass is issued only to the devotees who want to have darshan by mentioning their names and who bought the pass online.

As per further information, a social activist filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) through an advocate regarding this. The police administration and the trustees of the Saibaba Sanstha have, from time to time, pursued at various levels to provide temple security through the Central Police Reserve Force or the Central Industrial Security Force. But no action has been taken. The crime rate in Shirdi is increasing day by day.

Therefore, it has been mentioned in the petition that there is a need to strengthen the security system of the devotees.

The Bombay High Court had requested the Manager, High Court, Andhra Pradesh to submit a confidential report regarding the security arrangements deployed at the Tirupati Balaji Temple in Andhra Pradesh and accordingly the Manager, High Court submitted information regarding the security arrangements at the Tirupati Temple through a confidential report.

The Bombay High Court will study it and take further decision.

In view of the serious observations in the confidential report submitted by the District Judge, Ahmednagar, the court directed that without any change regarding the security of the temple, all the security arrangements will be operated or changed as per the orders of the Principal District Judge.

Taking cognizance of the report submitted by the Principal District Judge, Ahmednagar, if the Bombay High Court judge bench does not implement the order given by the court, it will be considered as contempt of the order, the order said.

The High Court has allowed the chairman and CEO to follow a strict policy on issuing passes. It was also said that one should enter the temple only after having the pass. Care should be taken to ensure that the darshan pass is given only to the devotees who want to have darshan by taking the names of the devotees and keeping an online record of who has bought the pass.

While allotting passes for VIP darshan, it has been ordered to check the Aadhaar card of the devotees and ensure that their number is mentioned on the pass.
