Fatal Accident On Pune-Satara Road: Woman Killed, 14-Year-Old Granddaughter Injured By PMPML BusĀ

Pune: A woman was killed and her 14-year-old grand daughter injured after being hit by a speeding PMP bus on the Pune-Satara Road near the Natubaug area. The incident occurred while the woman, identified as Asha Dattatraya Salunke (57), was returning home after attending a wedding.

According to the police, Asha Bai and her family had gone to a wedding on Saturday evening. Around 9:30 PM, while crossing the road at Natubaug area, they were hit by a speeding PMPML bus. Asha sustained severe injuries and was rushed to a private hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Her granddaughter, Prachiti (14), was also injured in the accident and is receiving treatment at the hospital.

A case has been filed against the PMP bus driver, Satish Rajaram Gore (27), for the accident. Vishal Dattatraya Salunke (38), a relative, has filed a complaint with the Sahakarnagar Police Station. Police Sub-Inspector Firoz Sheikh is investigating the incident.
