Fault in 400 KV line disturbs power supply in Pune and PCMC
Fault in Mahadiscom’s Lonikand and Chakan 400 KV high tension line supplying power at five locations disrupted power supply except in Pune city, Pimpri Chinchwad city, Lonikand, Chakan MIDC, Wagholi, Kothrud and Shivaji Nagar.

The supply went off at 6 am in the morning in many areas affecting the school and office schedules of many. Since there was no alternate supply available the power consumers faced the brunt of the supply. The message regarding the power cut was sent across by MSEDCL on the Consumers registered mobile numbers that the repair would take 4 hours and the supply shall resume by 11 am. MSEDCL informed that the power went off due to thick fog or dew which affected the tower line. In many areas it resumed by 10 am, while several other areas are still without power.
MSEDCL staff and senior officials pressed into repair and maintenance at many locations due to the disruption and ensured that the power supple resumed.
