FIR Lodged Against Around 150 Individuals for Verbal Attack on PM Modi at Pune Rally

PUNE: Pune City Police have taken legal action against approximately 100 to 150 individuals, including two named suspects, for their alleged verbal assault on Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a public gathering in the city. The Faraskhana Police Station has registered a case against Sachin Bansode, President of Bharat Mukti Morcha, and another individual identified as Rohit Malappa.

Amit Kank, President of BJP’s Yuva Morcha, filed a complaint asserting that the accused utilized a loudspeaker to verbally criticize Prime Minister Narendra Modi during a public rally held on August 7. The same loudspeaker was reportedly used to direct verbal abuse towards RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat at the same event.

According to police reports, the rally was organized to denounce the Manipur incident and voice opposition to the Uniform Civil Code. The filed FIR includes charges under sections 143, 149, 504, and 153 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), as well as sections 37(1) (3) and 135 of the Maharashtra Police Act.
