Fire breaks out at feeder box in Pimple Saudagar 

Today (5 March), fire broke out at a MSEDCL feeder box on Shiv Sai Lane Road in Pimple Saudagar. No casualties or injuries have happened.

Due to the timely efforts from Ex-Corporator Nana Kate, the fire was completely doused & a major disaster was averted.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Nana Kate, Former Corporator, said “Today morning at 7 am, a feeder box caught fire at Shivsai Lane Road, opposite Lotus Hospital, in Pimple Saudagar. Someone might have thrown a cigarette or something nearby the feeder box. The PCMC staff, who was doing cleaning work in the area, saw the fire & called me. I immediately informed the MSEDCL & PCMC Fire Department after which their employees came & extinguished the fire.”

As per further information from the social media handle of Nana Kate, Former Corporator “Today morning at 7.00 AM the feeder box of MSEDCL in front of Lotus Hospital on Shivsai Lane Road in Pimple Saudagar was on fire, as soon as it was noticed by the PCMC employees working there, they immediately called me and informed about the incident.”

The social media handle of Nana Kate further says “I called MSEDCL Deputy Engineer Nanaware and informed him about the incident and asked him to switch off the power supply to these feeder boxes immediately. The fire department was also called and informed. Firefighters and Mahavitaran employees reached the spot and brought the fire under control and averted a major accident.”
