First-Year Student Earns ₹4 Lakh a Month as Sales Intern, Rewarded with Fully Sponsored Thailand Trip
A first-year college student has gone viral after reportedly earning ₹4 lakh in a single month as a sales intern at a tech startup and receiving a fully sponsored trip to Thailand as a reward for his outstanding performance.
The student, Siddharth Dubey, is currently interning with tech startup Topmate. His achievement was shared by the company’s Co-founder and CEO, Dinesh Singh, in a LinkedIn post that quickly gained widespread attention.

According to Singh, Siddharth is the youngest member of the Topmate team but emerged as the company’s highest-performing sales intern. His exceptional performance in the previous month helped him generate the highest sales, resulting in a payout of ₹4 lakh.
Recognising his contribution, the company rewarded him with an all-expenses-paid trip to Thailand.
In his LinkedIn post, Singh highlighted that Siddharth’s success was not driven by years of experience or an impressive résumé. Instead, he credited the young intern’s strong communication skills, ability to understand customer needs, build trust and effectively close sales.
“He doesn’t have years of experience or a resume filled with big names, but he knows how to connect with people and deliver results,” Singh wrote.
The CEO further emphasised that qualities such as confidence, determination and the ability to build meaningful relationships can often be more valuable than formal qualifications.
The story has been widely appreciated on social media, with many users calling it an inspiring example of how talent, dedication and the right opportunity can help young professionals achieve remarkable success early in their careers. Several LinkedIn users also praised Topmate for recognising performance over experience, describing the achievement as proof that skills and results matter more than age or credentials.
