Bengaluru Auto Driver Shares Video of Passenger Abusing Him
A viral video from Bengaluru has captured an intense altercation between an autorickshaw driver and a woman passenger. The driver, identified as Pavan Kumar, accused the woman of booking two rides for the same trip via different apps—Ola and Rapido. The woman allegedly denied the claim, leading to a heated argument that escalated into verbal abuse and threats of physical attack.

What Happened?

Pavan Kumar claimed that the woman booked his auto via Ola while simultaneously booking another ride through Rapido. When confronted, the woman admitted to opening the Ola app for price comparison but denied completing the booking. However, Pavan insisted he received her booking confirmation.

The situation became more chaotic when the Rapido driver delayed starting the ride. Pavan asked the woman to provide proof that she hadn’t booked his vehicle, which she refused. Instead, she grew agitated, hurled expletives at him, and attempted to approach him physically.

Caught on Camera

In the viral video recorded by Pavan, the woman can be heard shouting:
“Fk you, fk you. Yeh pagal aadmi hai (This man is mad).”
She then directed the Rapido driver to proceed with the ride, continuing to dismiss Pavan’s accusations.

Bengaluru Police React

The viral video, shared by Pavan on social media, tagged Bengaluru Police for intervention. Responding promptly, the city police requested Pavan to share his contact information and the incident’s location for further investigation.

Public Reactions and Unclear Facts

While the truth remains uncertain, the woman claimed that Pavan’s Ola app was malfunctioning and denied booking a ride with him. The video has sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting the driver’s plight and others questioning the situation’s authenticity.

This incident adds to the growing number of disputes between ride-hailing service users and drivers, raising questions about accountability and the challenges of managing ride-sharing platforms in urban India.
