From Field to Frenzy: Ten Tractors Bogged Down In Pune Rice Field Rescue
In an unusual turn of events early this morning, a tractor became stuck in the muddy fields of Pune while planting rice, leading to a chain reaction that saw a total of ten tractors mired in the muck. The incident occurred around 11 a.m. on the farm of Rajesh Gole in Nanhe, where heavy rainfall had transformed the paddy fields into a quagmire.
As the tractor, operated by farmer Yogesh Shilimkar, was performing mud work necessary for rice planting, it unexpectedly became ensnared in the thick mud. Despite the efforts of several local tractor operators, the situation only worsened as each subsequent tractor sent to help also became stuck. By the time five tractors were bogged down, it was clear that a different approach was needed.
The issue was further complicated by the presence of an underground feed pipe line, which had not been anticipated. Realizing the complexity of the situation, Shilimkar and the other tractor operators—Ramchandra Jadhav, Bhima Dhonde, Mahesh Chandanshiv, Hemat Dabhade, Aditya Awale, and Anil Kumbhar—strategically parked four more tractors outside the field to extricate the stuck vehicles one by one.
The coordinated effort eventually succeeded in freeing the tractors, and the event has since become a hot topic of discussion in the local community. The dramatic recovery operation highlights the challenges faced in paddy planting amidst the recent heavy rains, as well as the spirit of cooperation among local farmers.
