FSSAI registration mandatory for food businesses; special drive from October 1 – 7

Food Safety Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has made it mandatory for all food businesses to make registration with the authority for those who haven’t yet got any FSSAI registration. A special drive from October 1-7 has been arranged for those who yet to register themselves. Giving more information about the drive, Shivaji Desai, commissioner, Pune said that those businesses who have turnover less than Rs 12 lakhs per annum can pay Rs 100, while those who have turnover beyond Rs 12 lakhs, wholesale, retail sellers can pay Rs 2,000, small scale enterprises Rs 3000 and large scale enterprises Rs 5000 and get the FSSAI certificate.
