G20 in Pune : Foreign Delegates Attending Education Working Group Meeting visit heritage sites

On the first day of the G20 Education Working Group meeting that started in Pune today, foreign delegates present in the morning experienced a visit to heritage sites in Pune.

The guests were welcomed at the historic Shaniwar Wada in Pune to the sound of Dhol Lazeem. Local folk arts were presented on this occasion. The guests got to know the complete information about Shaniwarwada.

After Shaniwarwad, the foreign visitors visited Lal Mahal and Nana Wada. Foreign visitors eagerly learned the childhood history of Chhatrapati Shivarai related to Lal Mahal. The importance of historical Nana Wada was also explained to them.

Students from various schools of Pune , National Service Scheme and NCC students were present in large numbers on this occasion. Pune residents also crowded both sides of the road to see these visitors. The foreign delegates were overwhelmed by the hospitality of the Pune people.

About 150 foreign visitors from 50 countries participated in the tour of these heritage sites.
