Health Officials Visit Affected Areas
Dr. Kamlapurkar and her team inspected critical areas, including Nandegaon, Kirkitwadi, and Dhayreshwar Temple, as well as the Laigude Hospital in Dhayari. A separate meeting involving officials from the National Institute of Virology (NIV), as well as central and state health authorities, was held to strategize efficient management of GBS cases. During the meeting, it was decided to issue a standard operating procedure (SOP) to streamline efforts. Officials also emphasized the need to test water samples from housing societies to rule out contamination.
