The members of the Gera Junction commercial complex have to deal with the rain water every year ever since the flyover has been built. The height of the road has increased due to which water enters with great speed into the basement of the commercial complex.

Despite repeated complaints, Pune Municipal Corporation has not taken any action on the issue and the members have to suffer losses due to the flooded basement as the electricity supply has to be kept shut till the water is drained out.

Speaking to Pune Pulse, Lokesh Kasat, one of the members at the complex said, “We have approached PMC several times but there has been no response yet from the civic body. The height of the road has increased ever since the flyover has come up. Our basement gets flooded with rain water and since our meter room is down in the basement we have to keep the electricity supply shut.”

Speaking to Pune Pulse Rupali Walke, drainage department said that the concerned department has been informed about the same.

Santosh Paranjape, chairman, Gera Junction commercial complex said that we have asked PMC to join the storm water line to the nala. Since the outlet is closed water accumulates we have to deal heavy water flow in our basement area.

The members are hoping that PMC takes some action at the earliest.
