Goa Tourism has clinched the prestigious ‘Destination of the Year’ award at the recent PATWA Travel Awards hosted during ITB Berlin 2024. 

The accolade celebrates Goa’s relentless efforts to position itself as one of India’s top travel destinations, showcasing its rich cultural heritage and welcoming ambience that continues to draw global travellers.

Adding to the triumph, the Tourism Minister of Goa, Rohan A Khaunte, was honoured with the “Tourism Minister of the Year” award at the same ceremony. This recognition acknowledges Minister Khaunte’s visionary leadership and steadfast dedication to promoting sustainable tourism in Goa, contributing significantly to the region’s socio-economic development. 

The awards highlight the state’s commitment to regenerative tourism practices and its focus on enhancing both natural and cultural assets for a holistic and enriching visitor experience.
