Good News for Punekars: Direct Flights to Bhopal, Indore from October 27
Starting October 27, Punekars can look forward to direct flights from Pune to Bhopal and Indore. This new air service, shared by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Mahesh Landge on X (formerly Twitter), aims to improve connectivity between Pune and Madhya Pradesh.
Landge announced, “Pune Airport Update: A much-needed boost to #Pune – #MadhyaPradesh connectivity! Daily flights to #Bhopal and an additional afternoon flight to #Indore will commence, thanks to the efforts and follow-up by Pune MP and MoS Civil Aviation Minister @mohol_murlidhar.” IndiGo will be operating these flights, offering greater convenience for both business and leisure travelers between these key cities.
In addition, Pune Airport now has direct flights to Sindhudurg, operated by FLY91, a new domestic airline. These flights proved especially popular during Ganeshotsav, as residents of the Konkan region traveled home to celebrate and then returned. For the first time, Pune is now connected to the Konkan region by air, marking a significant milestone for travelers.
