In a significant development for the Chakan industrial area, Mahesh Landge, Member of the Legislative Assembly for Bhosari, announced on X (formerly Twitter) that a ₹170 crore fund has been allocated to tackle the persistent traffic congestion in the Chakan Industrial belt. This initiative is set to bring substantial relief to industrial companies, workers, and residents in the area.

Key Aspects of the Project

The project will involve the development of an alternative outer ring road for Chakan, aimed at easing traffic flow and improving connectivity. Here are the key components of the project:

  • – Medankarwadi to Rase Phata (2.5 km): This stretch will be developed to provide a smoother transit route, helping to decongest the main roads.
  • – Sanny Company, Nanekarwadi to Samruddhi CNG Pump (1.2 km): Another critical section to enhance access to industrial sites and facilitate easier movement of goods and employees.
  • – Hingane Chowk to Volkswagen Company, Kharabwadi (0.9 km): This portion will be improved to reduce bottlenecks and ensure better traffic management near major industrial hubs.

The development of these routes is expected to significantly alleviate traffic woes, enhancing the ease of doing business in the region. Industrial companies, workers, and local citizens will benefit from reduced travel times and improved road safety.

A few days back, Dilip Batwal, the secretary of the Federation of Chakan Industries, said, “The traffic situation in the Chakan industrial area has gone from bad to worse. We have written to the roadways minister Nitin Gadkari and other authorities about the situation. There are road accident-related deaths almost every day.” This project is anticipated to provide significant relief for the residents.

Support and Gratitude

Mahesh Landge expressed his gratitude towards the Mahayuti government for approving this essential project, which will contribute to the overall growth and development of the area. “Thanks to the Mahayuti government for approving this crucial project,” Landge posted, highlighting the collaborative effort in securing the necessary funds and support.
