Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari today attended a programme on the occasion of World Organ Donation Day, on August 13 at Raj Bhavan in Pune. Stating that donating organs gives a new life to the recipient, the Governor appealed to youths to come forward for organ donation. The Governor conveyed his appreciation to student representative Vaishnavi Patole who has pledged to donate organs. VC Dr Nitin Karmalkar informed that 2577 students of the University have pledged for organ donation. The programme was organized by the NSS Cell and Students’ Council of the Savitribai Phule Pune University.
