Green Energy : Solar ‘powers’ Sai Ganga Society in Undri
The Sai Ganga Society located in Undri consisting of 254 flats recently inaugurated its rooftop solar project of 75 KVA. The project cost them Rs 4 lakhs, wherein each member contributed Rs 1000. The society hopes that the maintenance and electricity usage will reduce to 50 percent. They are also expecting that the rate of investment will be from 3.5 years only. This solar project will help them provide lights for common area lights, Sewage Treatment plant and lifts. Previously, the eight year old society used to receive electricity bills of Rs 3 lakhs per month but now with the solar project they are expecting 50 percent reduction. The project was recently inaugurated by the residents.
