Gujarat Air India Plane Crash: Teen Captures Rare Video Moments Before Tragedy, Probe Underway by Multiple Agencies
A tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12 has left the nation in shock, with over 265 lives lost and many others injured. The horrifying visuals of the accident, captured in a now-viral video, were filmed by a teenage boy named Aryan, who witnessed the crash moments after the aircraft took off.
Aryan, who was visiting Ahmedabad from a nearby village, had never seen an airplane before. Speaking to ABP Majha, he shared, “It was my first time seeing a plane. I was on a terrace and started recording on my mobile. I had no idea it would crash just moments later. I was terrified and couldn’t understand what had happened.”
The video shows the ill-fated Air India flight AI-171 taking off and then plummeting, triggering global conversations and speculation about the cause of the accident.
Investigation by Over Six Agencies
The crash has prompted a large-scale investigation involving more than six central and state agencies. The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), National Investigation Agency (NIA), National Security Guard (NSG), and Gujarat ATS are all probing the incident. The NIA has ruled out the possibility of sabotage.
Key data from the aircraft’s black box and flight data recorder (DVDR) is currently being analyzed by forensic experts. NSG teams continue to examine the crash site, and a central inquiry committee led by the Union Home Secretary is reviewing the incident to assess regulatory gaps and suggest preventive measures. The committee is expected to visit the site shortly.
