Gujarat Policeman’s Son Abducted and Robbed Near Pune Riverbed
Pune: IT Engineer Kills 3.5-Year-Old Son Over Suspicion on Wife’s Character, Arrested
Pune: The son of a Gujarat police officer was allegedly kidnapped and robbed in Pune. The victim was threatened, taken to a riverbed, and looted by three individuals. The Faraskhana police have registered a case against the suspects and launched an investigation.
The complainant, Balbhadrasinh Natvarsinh Jadeja (25), a resident of Kutch, Gujarat, was visiting his cousin in Kasba Peth, Pune. According to police, Jadeja’s father serves in the Ahmedabad police force.
On Friday night, Jadeja stepped out to get a soda due to stomach pain. Near Gavkos Maruti, he approached a biker for directions to a shop. The biker offered to take him there, and soon, two more individuals joined on another bike.
The suspects blindfolded Jadeja and took him to the riverbed, where they snatched ₹10,000 in cash and his mobile phone. They assaulted him and demanded more money. When he refused, they contacted his cousin, demanding a ransom. However, his cousin declined to pay. The assailants later abandoned Jadeja near the Devjibaba Temple in the Daruwala Bridge area before fleeing.
A terrified Jadeja reached his cousin Jayendrasinh and informed him about the incident. The police have started an investigation to identify and apprehend the suspects.
