Gujrat police’s video of using paramotor for surveillance goes viral on social media

A Gujarat police officer was recently spotted using a paramotor for surveillance over Junagarh city, as seen in a video that has gone viral on social media. 

This unique method of monitoring has garnered widespread attention from netizens and has quickly spread across various platforms, including X (formerly known as Twitter) and Reddit.

As per the information provided, the objective of this aerial mission was to supervise the Lili Parikrama, a holy yearly occasion in which followers encircle the esteemed Mount Girnar in the Junagadh district. 

This pilgrimage takes place during the Kartik month of the Hindu calendar, which is usually observed in November, and commences at the Bhavnath temple. 

The event holds great importance, as it entices around 100,000 visitors from different regions of India.

As per the information received, the officer skillfully navigates his paraglider in the viral video, utilizing a compact engine that propels him through the sky. This paramotor offers the police a distinctive perspective to maintain the safety and organization of the sizable crowd below.

Paramotors share similarities with conventional paragliders, as they necessitate the pilot to begin with a running start before increasing the throttle to ascend. The Gujarat police personnel underwent specialized training to effectively operate the equipment, despite the absence of stringent certification standards for flying a paramotor.
