Widespread Rain Activity in Several Regions

According to the Pune Meteorological Centre, the pre-monsoon activity has intensified due to favourable conditions for the advance of the southwest monsoon. Heavy rain has already lashed parts of Konkan-Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, and Vidarbha. The IMD expects similar weather patterns to persist over the next 10–12 days.

Cloudy conditions will prevail in many regions, increasing the likelihood of moderate to heavy rainfall.

Rain Forecast for Mumbai and Pune

Light to moderate rain is expected in Mumbai, Pune, Palghar, Thane, Jalgaon, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, and Hingoli districts. Skies will remain partly cloudy with thunderstorms and rain likely during the afternoon hours.

Monsoon Advancing Towards Kerala

Continuous rainfall has been recorded in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands region, and the IMD predicts the southwest monsoon may hit the Kerala coast within the next 10–12 days. However, pre-monsoon showers have already made a significant impact across Maharashtra.
