A cyclonic circulation is expected to form over the northern part of the Andaman Islands, leading to the development of a low-pressure area. This system is likely to move towards Maharashtra. As a result, the state is expected to receive heavy rainfall between September 23 and 28. Vidarbha, Marathwada, Madhya Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh are likely to experience the heaviest rains. In Pune and its surrounding areas, the sky is expected to remain partly cloudy today, with chances of cloudy weather in the afternoon or evening. From tomorrow, the sky will remain partly cloudy for the next three days, with light rain expected in the afternoon or evening.

The state is set to experience a return of rainfall over the next few days. According to information from the Meteorological Department, rain is likely in some districts of Konkan, Goa, Vidarbha, Western Maharashtra, and Marathwada. Additionally, there is a forecast of rain accompanied by strong winds over the next two to three days. As per the Pune weather station, conditions are favorable for the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from the regions of western Rajasthan and Kutch starting from September 23. Scattered rainfall is expected in some parts of the state on September 21 and 22.

According to the Meteorological Department, a cyclonic circulation is predicted to form over the northern Andaman Islands on Saturday, September 21, leading to the formation of a low-pressure area. This system is expected to move toward Maharashtra, bringing widespread heavy rainfall across Vidarbha, Marathwada, and the rest of the state from September 23 to 28.

Konkan and Goa may experience light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning on September 24, with similar conditions expected in Palghar, Thane, and Raigad. In Central Maharashtra, light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is expected in Jalgaon, Ahmednagar, and Solapur on September 23 and 24, while Dhule, Pune, Satara, Nandurbar, and Nashik may experience similar weather on September 24.

In Marathwada, Parbhani, Hingoli, and Beed are likely to experience rain with thunderstorms and strong winds on September 21. Nanded is expected to receive rain from September 21 to 23, while Osmanabad may experience rain from September 21 to 24. Beed and Jalna are forecasted to receive light to moderate rain with thunderstorms and strong winds on September 23 and 24. In Vidarbha, most districts are expected to experience rain with thunderstorms and strong winds from September 22 to 24. A yellow alert has been issued for all these districts.
