Heavy traffic on Pune Mumbai Expressway near Amrutanjan bridge
The Pune-Mumbai expressway witnessed heavy traffic jams on Wednesday morning hours, causing significant disruptions to vehicular traffic. It was said that thousands of people flocked to popular tourist destinations considering long weekends started returning.
According to the state highway police, Â to alleviate the situation, at Amrutanjan bridge, the police force deployed to clear lanes for the vehicles.
Abhijeet Vaze, a commuter said, ” Heavy traffic jams observed near Amrutanjan bridge in the morning hours of Wednesday. Hence it is taking time to reach the desired location.
Officials from state highway police told that,state highway police have deployed additional manpower at Khandala and Lonavala to clear the traffic and ease the situation.
