Following the accident, the driver reportedly fled the scene without taking responsibility, raising serious concerns among local residents. The area is predominantly residential, with children frequently playing nearby, and residents stated that the incident could have resulted in a major tragedy.

The complaint also highlighted an ongoing issue in the locality, where individuals allegedly practice driving without valid licenses on public roads, posing a significant risk to public safety.

The matter invokes several legal provisions, including Section 279 of the Indian Penal Code (rash and negligent driving), Section 427 (causing damage to public property), and Sections 134 and 184 of the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, related to failure to fulfill responsibilities after an accident and dangerous driving.

Residents, led by Sameer Punjabi of the Parge Nagar Kondhwa Residents Association, have urged authorities to take strict legal action against the driver and vehicle owner. They have also demanded a thorough investigation into the damage caused to public property and called for increased monitoring to curb reckless and illegal driving practices in the area.

The residents expressed hope that the police will take immediate cognizance of the matter and implement necessary measures to ensure public safety.
