Husband-wife murder case : Pune Police arrest Wanowrie woman, remand police custody till Nov 28

The Wanowrie Police have arrested Renuka Khanna, a woman accused for allegedly murdering her husband Nikhil Khanna.

As per further information, Nikhil Khanna, aged 36 years did not take his wife Renuka Khanna to Dubai on her birthday. Also, because he did not give her a gift of her choice on their anniversary and did not arrange for a flight ticket to Delhi for the accused’s brother’s daughter’s birthday, in a fit of rage, Renuka hit her husband Nikhil on the face and nose which led to the death of Nikhil.

Primary results of the post-mortem performed at Sassoon General Hospital on Saturday indicate that he also had a head injury.

The tragic incident unfolded on Friday around 1:30 pm in the couple’s home. Renuka Khanna was apprehended by the police for further investigation. Following the altercation, Nikhil Khanna was promptly taken to the hospital.

Nikhil, the deceased, held a prominent position in the construction business, and the couple had been married for the past seven years.
