12 flights on 4th December (Monday) have been cancelled at Pune Airport. The reason for cancellation is being attributed to bad weather in Chennai.

Cyclone Michaung is anticipated to make landfall along the coasts of Andhra Pradesh and northern Tamil Nadu on December 5. The India Meteorological Department declared on Monday that the cyclonic storm has escalated into a severe cyclonic storm.

On Monday, the impact of Cyclone Michaung led to substantial rainfall, resulting in severe waterlogging across various areas in Chennai. Numerous low-lying regions, including hospitals and residential areas, experienced flooding, requiring civic agency personnel to engage in efforts to clear the accumulated water.

The adverse weather conditions have disrupted train and flight services, contributing to widespread transportation issues. In response to the challenging weather conditions, the Chennai bench of the Madras High Court and all district courts in the city have been closed.

Reports of waterlogging have emerged from various parts of the city, including Maduravoyal, Porur, Saligaramam, and Valasaravakkam. Additionally, the strong winds accompanying the cyclone have uprooted trees in several locations.
