Nashik-Pune highway accident: Container collides with palkhi; 4 people dead

Pune: A terrible accident took place on the Nashik-Pune highway on Monday in which 4 people lost their lives and 8 people were injured when a container collided with a palkhi going from Shirdi to Alandi.

As per the information, the incident occurred when the palkhi of Kashikanand Maharaj of Shirdi was going from Shirdi to Alandi. A container, which was at a high speed, collided with the palkhi and killed 4 people on the spot while 8 people were seriously injured.

In this accident, preliminary information reveals that the driver of the container was driving under the influence of alcohol and it is being said that the accident happened because he lost control of the vehicle.

After the accident, the nearby citizens immediately helped and admitted the injured to the hospital. The container driver has been detained by the police and the angry citizens have vandalized the container. As Varkaris were killed in the accident, there is grief everywhere.
