Indian Railways A Triumphs At Ashok Ruia Memorial Winter National Bridge Tournament Held In Pune
Pune, December 17, 2024: The Indian Railways A team clinched the Gold Group title at the prestigious Ashok Ruia Memorial Winter National Bridge Tournament. The tournament, hosted by the Pune Region Bridge Association and sanctioned by the Bridge Federation of India (BFI) and Maharashtra Bridge Association (MBA), concluded at the Shri Shiv Chhatrapati Sports Complex, Balewadi.
In a thrilling final match against Fenesta, Indian Railways A emerged victorious with a score of 148-84. Despite a narrow loss in the first segment, the team displayed exceptional skill and strategic prowess to dominate the subsequent three segments.
Shree Cement secured the third position, defeating ISK by a single point, 101-100.
The tournament witnessed intense competition, with Indian Railways A defeating ISK 129-25 in the first semi-final, and Fenesta overcoming Shree Cement 155-107 in the second semi-final.
The triumphant Indian Railways A team was awarded a trophy and a cash prize of Rs. 1,50,000. Fenesta, the runners-up, received a trophy and Rs. 90,000.
The prize distribution ceremony was graced by Milind Bhadbhade, President of the Pune Region Bridge Association, and Anand Samant, Senior Vice President of BFI, along with Shirish Karkarer and other distinguished guests.
