Indians Everywhere, But Not in These 5 Countries – One Name Will Shock You

With a population of over 1.5 billion, India is the world’s most populous country. From small islands to large continents, Indians have made their mark in almost every corner of the globe — in education, business, tourism, and sports. Even during international cricket matches, Indian fans can be spotted in stadiums worldwide.

However, there are still a few countries where not a single Indian lives. Out of 195 countries, five nations stand out with zero Indian residents. Let’s take a look:

1. Tuvalu

This tiny island nation is located between Hawaii and Australia in the Pacific Ocean. With a population of just around 12,000 and only 8 km of roads, Tuvalu is one of the least populated countries in the world. Despite being independent since 1978, no Indian has ever settled in Tuvalu.

2. Vatican City

The world’s smallest country, Vatican City is situated within Rome, Italy. It serves as the spiritual center of the Roman Catholic Church and is home to the Pope. While many Indians live across Europe, not a single Indian resides in Vatican City, likely due to its small size and religious exclusivity.

3. Bulgaria

Located in Southeast Europe, Bulgaria has a population of nearly 7.9 million and follows Christianity as the main religion. Despite being relatively well-connected and developed, there are no known Indian residents in Bulgaria, except for a few tourists or embassy staff.

4. San Marino

Another tiny European country, San Marino has a population of about 33,000 and covers just 61 square kilometers. While Indian tourists might occasionally visit, no Indian lives in San Marino permanently — making it one of the few countries without a resident Indian.

5. Pakistan

After the 1947 partition, Pakistan was formed as a separate nation. Since then, relations between India and Pakistan have remained tense. Political and security concerns mean that no Indian lives in Pakistan today. For many Indians, even hearing the country’s name stirs strong emotions.

Despite India’s global presence, these five countries — Tuvalu, Vatican City, Bulgaria, San Marino, and Pakistan — remain exceptions with zero Indian population. A surprising fact in today’s highly connected world.
