Pune: The Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Heavy Industries, is set to unveil the country’s first Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) Test City in Pune on December 12, 2025.

Spread across 20 acres in Takwe near Talegaon, the facility is designed as a replica of Indian road networks, making it the first dedicated road environment built exclusively for ADAS validation under “on-road” conditions.

The ADAS Test City will allow the automotive industry to test and validate driver assistance technologies in a safe, controlled, and repeatable setting. The aim is to ensure that these features perform reliably under real-world Indian driving conditions.
