In a recent incident, an Indigo Airlines passenger has been apprehended and charged for allegedly smoking aboard a flight, prompting a swift response from authorities. The individual, identified as Kawraj Tagat Singh (26) and hailing from Rajasthan, has had an offense registered against him under section 336 of the Indian Penal Code, which pertains to endangering the life or personal safety of others, along with a violation of rule 25 of the Aircraft Rules.

The incident took place on August 3, when Singh was a passenger on an Indigo Airlines flight en route from Dubai to Mumbai. During the course of the journey, Singh reportedly entered the aircraft’s restroom and proceeded to smoke.
