IndiGo introduces business-class services to mark its 18th anniversary, offering enhanced comfort and new travel options for passengers.
India’s leading low-cost carrier, IndiGo, has announced the introduction of business-class services as it celebrates its 18th anniversary. The new service, branded as IndiGo Stretch, will be available for travel starting in November, with bookings opening immediately.

“Starting tomorrow, passengers travelling between metro cities will have the option to book business class seats on IndiGo flights,” said IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers. This marks a significant shift for the airline, which has been known for its affordable, no-frills service since its inception.
Ticket Prices and Routes
Introductory Price: Rs 18,018 for the Delhi-Mumbai route.
Initial Routes: Select metro-to-metro routes.
Expansion Plan: To serve all 12 metro routes by the end of 2025.

Seating: Coupe-style, 2-seat wide bays.
Comfort: Spacious pitch of 38 inches and a width of 21.3 inches, providing ample space for passengers to relax.
Additional Comforts: Enhanced seating comfort with more legroom and personal space.
Future Plans
In addition to the business class introduction, IndiGo has announced plans to operate wide-body aircraft. By 2027, the airline will start services with Airbus 350-900 planes, aiming to attract a new segment of travelers seeking added comfort and convenience on domestic routes.
International Expansion
Currently operating over 400 routes, including 34 international destinations, IndiGo is set to expand its global reach further. The CEO shared plans to launch seven new international routes soon, enhancing IndiGo’s presence in the international market.
