Influencer Rejects ₹3.6 Lakh Offer from Ambanis: 4 Reasons Revealed
Kavya Karnatac lists four reasons for turning down a lucrative offer to promote the Ambani-Merchant wedding, prioritizing her values and integrity over financial gain.
The grand Ambani-Merchant wedding, which took place on July 12, continues to be a hot topic on social media, with influencers sharing videos and pictures from the lavish ceremony. Amid the buzz, Instagram influencer Kavya Karnatac revealed that she rejected an offer of ₹3.6 lakh to “discuss how Ambani’s wedding would boost the Indian economy.” In a recent post, Kavya explained her decision, citing four reasons that align with her values.
Firstly, Kavya emphasized the importance of maintaining her distinctiveness and not getting lost in the crowd. She stated, “Aligning with an overly promoted narrative like Ambani’s wedding would dilute my brand’s uniqueness.”
Secondly, she expressed her concerns about promoting a corporate giant like Ambani, especially when Jio has increased internet charges. “Trust is fragile and built over time through consistent honesty. My audience is discerning; they can differentiate between paid promotions and genuine content. Thus, preserving their trust is crucial,” she wrote.
Kavya’s third reason focused on social issues in India, such as marriages being cancelled due to caste, class, gender, and religion. She believes that promoting such lavish events is misleading, particularly since she is an educator.
Finally, Kavya highlighted the importance of integrity over financial gain. “A ₹3.6 lakh deal is tempting. However, the long-term benefits of maintaining my integrity far outweigh the short-term financial gain. Integrity builds a loyal following, which is invaluable,” she concluded.
Her post has garnered close to 6,000 likes and numerous supportive comments.
One user wrote, “Hats off to you Kavya Karnatac for staying true to your values in the light of such temptation. Ambani money has practically bought every person one has ever recognized; kudos to you for letting them know – not everyone is for sale. Bravo.”
“This is so refreshing to read! I’ve been following your content for quite a while now, and its originality is what attracted me in the first place. Reading this genuinely made me happy!” commented a LinkedIn user
Kavya’s decision has resonated with many, reinforcing the idea that personal integrity and authenticity can triumph over lucrative offers.
