Narayana Murthy, the co-founder of Infosys, along with his wife Sudha Murthy, recently offered a glimpse into their lives. The couple appeared as special guests on the widely acclaimed talk show The Great Indian Kapil Sharma Show, where they entertained the audience with heartfelt and humorous anecdotes from their personal experiences.

A standout moment from the show was Narayana Murthy’s humorous admission about overlooking their 25th wedding anniversary.

Later that day, while Murthy was en route to Mumbai, he received a call from his daughter, Akshata Murty, who was studying at Stanford University at the time.

“She asked, ‘What are you doing?’ I told her I was catching a flight. She immediately said, ‘Cancel it, get the first flight back to Bangalore, and wish your wife a happy anniversary!’” says Murthy.

Narayana Murthy recounted that he informed her about a speech scheduled for 3 PM, but Akshata firmly replied, “I don’t care if you have a speech at 3 pm. If you need to hire a private plane, hire it, but come back and wish her.”

The couple captivated the audience with their engaging personalities and heartfelt stories. Narayana Murthy recounted amusing tales from his youth and discussed the secrets of their enduring relationship.

Sudha Murty encouraged men to embrace sharing household responsibilities and emphasized the importance of teaching sons how to cook.

Murthy glanced back as he encountered her for the first time. Narayan remarked. “Meeting her was a breath of fresh air. She has always been positive, kind, and very talkative. She wanted a good listener. So, she was happy and I was happy.”
