Integrated Cargo Terminal to be launched at Pune Airport ; Jyotiraditya Scindia

Pune: Pune is globally renowned in the fields of art, culture, commerce and education. With the Aero mall facility, it will now be known for its unique features too. Union Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia was in Pune to inaugurate the newly built parking facility at Pune airport on November 25. He asserted that an integrated cargo terminal will be opened at the airport for passengers traveling by air as citizens from all over the country are coming to Pune.
Stating that the new multi-storied parking lot equipped with state-of-the-art facilities will solve the major parking problem at Pune Airport, Minister Scindia said that everyone should make efforts to get Pune recognised as globally. He informed that the new terminal along with Pune-Singapore air service will be commissioned in the coming period.
Guardian Minister Chandrakant Patil expressed the hope that the airport with all the facilities will soon come into service for the people of Pune, the airport authority will make necessary efforts for it. MP Girish Bapat said that the Union Ministry of Aviation has always cooperated for the development of Pune Airport.
MP Vandana Chavan suggested to start cargo facility for cargo transportation. Officials, passengers, dignitaries from various fields attended the program.
Features of Aero Mall at Pune based Lohegaon Airport
New multi-level parking will solve the big problem of parking at Pune airport. Built at a cost of Rs 120 crore, the five-storey Aeromall will have parking facilities for around 1,000 four-wheelers and two-wheelers. Not only car parking, various facilities like halls, food court have been provided here for the convenience of passengers.
Apart from this, displays showing the arrival and departure times and status of the aircraft have been installed on all floors of the parking buildings. This will help the passengers to understand the flight timings. Passengers can pay for parking through Fast tag, Credit Card,Mobile App. Which will help the convenience of passengers and early exit from the building.
Also, through the ‘Find My Car’ technology facility, it will be possible to know on which floor your car is parked. Adequate number of facilities for passengers coming and going to the airport are lifts, foot over bridges, automatic escalators. Along with this, an eco-friendly golf cart (car) has been arranged for the elderly to travel between the airport and the car park.
This facility will be completely free.
A special rest room has been set up here for the drivers coming from outside to take a break to drop off the passengers. They will have accommodation there.
Airport officials informed that this parking will be open for 24 hours for passengers and other citizens.
