But a few members of the society have pointed out irregularities in functioning of the society, which landed them in the Registrar’s office.
“Complainants were with us in different programs in the past 15 years. This act is to defame us and take charge of the society in their hands, as the society is now heading for new elections. Society managing committee has been active in many projects. We have also helped an accident victim. We have already given a clarification regarding this complaint, time to time. Hearing on this complaint is still being held at the sub registrar office. The number of members of society is 822 and complainants are 39,” said Chairman Santosh Mhaskar, Roseland Residency.

“We highlighted the issues of society; there were many financial irregularities in the society work. We complained about this to registrar. Till now registrar had sent three notices to the committee and disqualified the committee. Chairman is holding possession of three parking areas with him, where he is owner of only one parking. He inducted people wrongly without notice and also added two new members in the committee. We are done with one hearing and are waiting for the next order issued by the registrar,” said Chandan Chourasia, a member from Roseland Residency.
